#3776 CENTURY "Shape of Heart"

The special limited model "Shape of Heart" of the popular fountain pen "#3776 Century", was first released in 2022. "Bluebird" is released as the 4th (final) edition.

The series is inspired by the heart-shaped pieces that are generated during the pen nib processing process, these pieces are placed with zirconia in the crown dome.

Generally, the heart-shaped pieces are collected and melted to be reused. However, "The Shape of Heart" was created based on the idea that it is part of a single fountain pen.

As the name suggests, the final edition will be delivered in a coloring inspired by the “Bluebird”, which is a symbol of happiness. And 4 heart pieces inspired by the four-leaf clover, which is a symbol of happiness like “bluebird”, is placed on the crown dome.  

The pen nib, clip, and metal trim are decorated with pink gold plating. The body is bi-colored in pale tone and white, and the surface is matte-blasted to make the nib, clip, and crown dome stand out.

Like the other 3776 pens, the cap features a unique "Slip and Seal" mechanism in the cap, meaning an airtight screw-on cap that prevents ink from drying out. Other fountain pens can dry out in as little as 2–4 weeks without use, but Platinum's Slip and Seal cap prevents dryout for over a year without use. Meanwhile, a newly redesigned nib and feed regulate the ink flow.
