It is a heavy and thick leather. Tanner from Himeji (姫路) has tanned the Japanese Steerhide (adult beef) twice with full tannin and soaked it in plenty of oil and wax. Because of the thick leather, it takes 1.5 times more time to finish than the normal tannin tanning. Therefore, by polishing while using the leather, the oil inside the leather is called out. The more you use and polish the leather, the more beautiful it becomes.
