Released in the 100th anniversary of the birth of mechanical pen in Japan.
Pressman, one of Platinum's long-selling products, is a mechanical pencil developed for shorthand writers and journalists.
When developing it for professional writers, it had to have a structure that would not break the lead even by "writing many characters quickly". Therefore, the lead was made thicker from the usual 0.5mm to 0.9mm, and a built-in safety slide mechanism slides the lead to improve smoothness, making it possible to prevent the lead from breaking due to the strong writing pressure that occurs during shorthand.
In addition, when you use up the lead during an interview, you have to knock it many times. In order for you not to miss the timing, the Pressman has a 100mm 2B lead instead of the usual 60mm lead, allowing for uninterrupted interviews.
In an era when pencils were mainstream, the Pressman was gradually recognized for its comfortable weight and other functions and writing feel, and it was used by secretaries in the Congress at that time. After that, it was recognized by people who did not intend to use it for shorthand, and it has been loved for many years by writers, creators, copywriters, and other creative professions because it is "ideal for sketching images".
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the practical mechanical pencil in Japan, and in response to the voices of users, the long-selling Pressman is improved.
Improvements
* The cushion pressure of the tip safety slide mechanism has been increased to prevent unintentional lead sliding. Supports both low and high pen pressure users.
* The knocking noise when extending the lead has been significantly reduced.
* The knocking pressure has been lightened to achieve speedy and easy lead extension. Even users with weak strength can knock smoothly.
* Change of logo.
